tiger, tiger finish from Making A Lather

At the very last minute, I have finished my one monthly goal for June. So glad to have a finish. I plan to donate this to a local shelter for hands to help.

My friend Linda brought a scrap bag to me.... I had found the tiger embroidery at a thrift store...I decided whatever I pulled out of the scrap bag, I would add to the quilt improv style. It has been fun. Some colors, I would not have put together on purpose. But, I like them together here. I think I saw a video on you tube by ...

goal: finish tiger quilt from Making A Lather

My one monthly goal for June is to finish tiger, tiger. Every good quilt story starts with "I had a bag of scraps" And this is no exception. I had seen Beth's improv quilt on YouTube and had it swirling in my head, when another quilter gifted me a bag of scraps. I found the vintage tiger embroidery at a thrift store some time ago and wanted to do something with it. 5 quilts November 22, 2021 from Making A Lather

We have spent the last few days cooking turkey. We decided to smoke one this year. I decided that if the price didn't drop below the price of a chicken, I wasn't going to buy it. We aren't having anyone for thanksgiving, so I would only buy one for the freezer. The price was good so Mr. Turkey is all safely gathered in for the winter. We have already had "leftovers" - sandwhiches - and soon, noodles. yum. I miss family thanksgiving dinners.

5 quilts November 15 from Making A Lather

Hubbly and I attended a small quilt show in Indy Saturday, It was a great little trip that put us in Indy. It has been awhile since we have been to the "big" city and it was a bit overwhelming. The traffic and massively growing areas were surprising. We hardly recognized the place.

We stopped at a quilt store that I enjoy, and I was sad to see the cost of fabric has really increased. There was no shortage of options, and the store was busy. Now that we are retired, we avoid most places on the weekend, so it ...
